A toast to the fall season with Foss Marai

and participants compete with each other in the kitchen

On September 29th and 30th a very special event was held at the Foss Marai company in Valdobbiadene to welcome the fall season of foliage. On a beautiful sunny day all guests enjoyed conviviality moments with delicious local Venetian dishes and high-quality wines prepared by Chef Alessandro Salvatico and Luca Pizzoccheri.

On that occasion the attending journalists were given the chance to compete with each other in a fun cooking challenge to show their creative, taste and aesthetic skills to transform a simple beef tartare into a work of art. A panel of judges selected their favourite dish and awarded the winner with a bottle of Foss Marai Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. in Jeroboam size (3l).

At the end of the dinner the World Champion pastry chef Massimo Carnio was able to capture a mix of emotions from all guests by preparing an exclusive dessert like no other. Visits and wine tastings at Foss Marai cellar are open to the public too. Find out more here.
