Foss Marai Wine Partner of Panettone World Championship   

The winery from Valdobbiadene, a leader in the production of Sparkling Wines and Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG, is the sponsor for the 1st edition of the Team Panettone World Championship 

On 14 October 2023, HostMilano will celebrate the award ceremony for the contest promoted by the Academy of Masters of Lievito Madre and Italian Panettone and by the Italian Gourmet magazine. The contest sees the national teams of Argentina, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Taiwan compete in preparing classic Italian panettone, chocolate panettone with dark dough, and the innovative "savory panettone".

 

The winners will be chosen and Special Awards will be handed over by three prestigious juries: the Technical Jury, tasked with identifying the winning team, a Starred Jury, and a Jury of Italian and international journalists to award numerous Special Awards.  

 

On the jury, Thierry Bamas (Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pâtissier 2011), Luca Mannori (winner of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie Valrhona), Enrico Derflingher (an Italian Chef accredited at the English Royal House), Jean-Paul Hévin (Meilleur Ouvrier de France section Pâtisserie Confiserie 1986), Agostino Iacobucci (Michelin Star), Christian Jürgens (3 Michelin Stars), Max Mascia (2 Michelin Stars), Davide Oldani (the creator of Cucina POP), Fabio Pisani (with Alessandro Negrini leading the two-starred restaurant Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia), Christian Schaberreiter (winner of the Austrian Chocolate Master 2009), and Gianni Tarabini (Michelin Star).  As Special Guests and Guests of Honor at the final showdown there will be Mauro Colagreco (3 Michelin Stars and the first non-French Chef to receive the title "Chef of the Year" from the prestigious Gault & Millau guide), Pierre Hermé (best pastry chef in the world 2016 for the Academy of World’s 50 Best Restaurants), and Iginio Massari (among the greatest Italian Pastry Masters in the world).
